Siemens Mobile has more than doubled its first quarter year-on-year profit to €123 million while sales are up four per cent and new orders up 20 per cent.
The company's mobile phones division sold a record 15.2 million handsets, up from 11.0 million in the same period 12 months earlier.
Siemens Mobile recently introduced a range of new products to the Irish market including the MC60 with integrated camera, the design-led SL55 and the SX1 with built-in video recorder, video player, digital camera.
