This Saturday and Sunday will be the first weekend following metrification of the speed limits, but travel conditions are predicted to be relatively normal.
Road widening on the N7 in Dublin means that one lane will be closed eastbound from the Poitin Stil pub to Citywest - but only on Friday and Saturday nights.

In Waterford temporary lights are in operation between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. daily on the N25 on the Dungarvan side of Kilmeaden.
There is flooding in Sligo on the slip road between the Bundoran Road and the Rosses Point - known locally as Scotchman's Walk. The AA says the road is passable but has advised motorists to care.
Bad weather delays appear to be over on the ferry routes but the Rosslare/Pembroke services are in dry dock until 21.00 hrs on Saturday, January 22nd.
