A tailor said Sinead O’Connor offered him a €100 tip if he could make her priest’s garb in time for the 50th anniversary Late Late Show .
She contacted Co Donegal tailor Ray Doherty saying she needed the collar a day before the show on Friday night.
Sinead became Mother Bernadette Mary at a ceremony held by the Latin Tridentine church in Lourdes in 1999 and has worn the priest’s collar on many occasions.
“A caller offered me €100 if I could guarantee delivery by Thursday,” said Mr Doherty. “I said there would be no problem and no extra charge. Then I asked for her name and she said it was S O’Connor. I was delighted to be able to help her out and she was so lovely and nice,” he said.
