Authorities in Illinois are investigating whether a woman stored her dead brother's body for four years while she collected his social security benefits.
Police found the near-skeletal remains of the 67-year-old in the front bedroom of his sister's home in Cicero.
The man was disabled and his sister cared for him while he was alive.
Officers say his body was still dressed and wrapped in blankets and plastic.
Police and Social Security officials are investigating. The woman was released after police questioning.
The woman's lawyer William Murphy told the Chicago Tribune: "She is a little eccentric and there are extenuating circumstances.
She kept him one day and all of a sudden it was four years later. It's been enough for a while and she just didn't know what to do."
