Six people have been arrested this morning in connection with a house fire that killed a woman in Clonmel Co Tipperary last Friday.
Local detectives, assisted by members of the National Bureau of Criminal Investigation, searched a number of houses in the Clonmel town area, and the arrests followed.
The four men and two women arrested are aged between their late twenties and early thirties. They are being held at Clonmel, Cahir and Tipperary town Garda stations.
On Friday a number of suspicious fires were being investigated after the woman died when a fire, started in a wheelie bin, spread to the parked car at the front of her house at Elm Park and then to her house after the car exploded.
The woman's husband escaped from the back of the house after jumping from an upstairs window.
