Six food businesses were shut for breaching food safety regulations in August.
The closure orders were served on the six premises by the Food Safety Authority of Ireland (FSAI).
Environmental Health Officers ordered the closure of Mum Catering Ltd and Linro Catering Ltd, both of the Earl of Kildare Hotel, Kildare Street, Dublin 2.
Also in Dublin, the Tian Tian Fish Market, at the rear of number 10 Moore Street, Dublin 1, was closed down by authorities.
Lams Chinese takeaway, of 42 Bride Street, Loughrea, Co Galway, and Shanghai Chinese Restaurant, 46 North Street, Skibbereen, Co Cork, were ordered to shut for breaching regulations.
Goslins pub in Ballycanew, Gorey, Co Wexford, was also issued with a closure order.
So far this year 22 closure orders have been served on food businesses; 42 were issued in 2004. Closure orders are served when there are serious legal infringements and standards have fallen so low that the public's health has been put at risk.
