BRITAIN: Six people were killed yesterday in a collision between a minibus and a lorry in Lincolnshire.

It is believed that the driver of the minibus was attempting to overtake two lorries on the A52 near Grantham when the crash occurred at about 5am. The minibus collided head-on with a Hovis lorry travelling in the opposite direction. Another lorry then smashed into the back of the Hovis truck.

Five people travelling in the minibus were killed as also was the driver of the Hovis lorry. The minibus was transporting migrant workers at the time.

More than 40 police officers were joined by paramedics, fire and rescue crews and vehicle inspectors at the scene near the Lincolnshire-Leicestershire border between Sedgebrook and Bottesford.
