Tursunzade - Six people, including a local mayor, were killed in the Tajikistan aluminium producing town of Tursunzade when unidentified gunmen attacked the mayor's office on Thursday, a senior military source said.
Gen Gaffar Mirzoyev, commander of the elite Tajik presidential guard, said Mayor Norullo Khairullayev, the head of his administration, the director of a local factory and two policemen had been shot dead early in the morning when a group of armed men shot at the mayor's office.
