Six selected for piano finals

There will be no Irish performer in the finals of the Guardian Dublin International Piano Competition.

There will be no Irish performer in the finals of the Guardian Dublin International Piano Competition.

Following the completion of the semifinals in the National Concert Hall, Dublin, last night, six competitors were chosen to contest the final competition later this week.

They are Elisso Bolkvadze, Georgia; Massimiliano Ferrati, Italy; Max Levinson, USA; Adrian Oetiker, Switzerland; Corrado Rollero, Italy, and Seiko Tsukamoto, Japan.

The finals will be held over the two evenings, Wednesday, May 14th, and Thursday, May 15th. The finalists will perform a concerto in the National Concert Hall with the National Symphony of Ireland, conducted by Robert Houlihan.
