Manchester United captain Roy Keane is refusing to get carried away by talk of winning four trophies with the club this season.

United side are still in the hunt for all four major honours this term, having reached the Worthington Cup final and drawn Arsenal in an FA Cup fifth round tie.

With their Premiership form improving and maximum points already in the bag after two games in the second phase of the Champions League, optimistic fans are already talking of going one better than their Treble triumph of three years ago.

Yet, Keane, who has returned after a four-month absence following hip surgery, is keeping his feet firmly on the ground, claiming last year's barren campaign is proof of what could happen.

"Things are going well, but we've been in the game long enough to know that things can change quickly," he told MUTV.

"It was only two or three months ago that people were writing us off. People are talking about the quadruple but the players aren't daft enough to get carried away with anything like that.

"The manager makes sure that we keep our feet on the ground. We ended up last season with no trophies and football can be cruel like that.

"We've bounced back well. We are getting players back from injury now and we are looking fresh."

The clash with holders Arsenal is bound to attract huge attention, particularly as it mirrors a thrilling 1999 semi-final which saw United take a step closer to that Treble.

Keane admitted he would have preferred less taxing opposition, although he is looking forward to the match just the same.

"You want to avoid the big teams, but we've had two home draws already so you can't have everything," he said.

"Arsenal are in good form at the moment - but so are we. It will be a good game and a brilliant atmosphere. May the best team win."
