A man has died in Dublin after his motorcycle collided with a bus on Constitution Hill late last night.

The 38-year-old motorcyclist was fatally injured after his motorcycle hit a bus at Constitution Hill in north central Dublin at about 11.30 last night.

The man was taken to the Mater Hospital where he was pronounced dead. The bus driver was uninjured in the incident.

The road was closed following the collision to allow a Garda Forensic team to examine the scene but has since reopened.
