Social and community groups have criticised a draft social partnership document put forward by the Government at a meeting today saying the resources are not there to support it.

In talks on non-pay-related issues linked to the new pay deal at Government Buildings today, the community and voluntary organisations claimed the most marginalised and disenfranchised in society would not benefit from the Government's proposals.

Among the issues discussed today were housing and social inclusion policies.

Earlier today employers group IBEC warned that some firms would find it difficult to fund the terms contained within the proposed new national pay deal.
