In the North, there have been no fresh developments in the foot-and-mouth crisis since the Agriculture Minister, Mrs Brid Rodgers, announced an easing of some restrictions on the movement of farm animals on Wednesday.
On welfare grounds, the Minister will grant licences to move sheep and cattle from mountain pastures to home farm premises for lambing and calfing.
