Sunderland goalkeeper Thomas Sorensen has insisted he has not agreed a move to Premiership leaders Arsenal.
The 26-year-old Danish international has been the subject of speculation that Arsene Wenger wants him as a long-term replacement for England number one David Seaman.
Having emerged as one of the better keepers in the top flight, he has been linked with a series of clubs, including Manchester United, since making his mark after a £500,000 sterling move from Odense BK in August 1998.
"I haven't heard anything official from Arsenal, but I don't really want to comment on it," he said. "Time will tell what will happen.
"If Arsenal really are interested in me, then it's a positive because they are one of the really big clubs," he said.
Peter Reid's departure from Sunderland in October last year and the problems facing his successor, Howard Wilkinson, have alerted potential buyers again.
Relegation to Division One would leave the Wearsiders vulnerable to approaches for the likes of Sorensen and star striker Kevin Phillips.
