Ephraim Mashaba was today appointed manager of the South African national soccer team. He succeeds Jomo Sono.
Mashaba, who coaches the country’s Olympic team, will be assisted by April Phumo.
Sono guided South Africa through the World Cup finals last month. They were eliminated in the first round after drawing 2-2 with Paraguay, defeating Slovenia 1-0 and losing 3-2 to Spain.
