Southampton 4 Tottenham 0
Swedish duo Michael and Anders Svensson grabbed a goal apiece as Southampton swept Tottenham aside in the FA Cup 3rd round all-Premiership clash.
Norwegian midfielder Jo Tessem and James Beattie, with his 14th goal of the season, completed a 4-0 rout that was verging on humiliating for Spurs.
Michael Svensson got the show on the road with a 12th minute strike on his FA Cup debut, following up a Beattie free-kick that Kasey Keller failed to hold.
The Swede might then have had a screamer of a second but his 25-yard drive was touched away by Keller at full stretch.
Beattie also made Tessem's goal with a sublime lay-off five minutes after the interval that the Norwegian tucked into the corner with a low left foot finish.
The other Svensson was then allowed to run unchallenged from the half way line before firing past Keller. Beattie got his reward for an impressive all round display ten minutes from the end.
Substitute Kevin Davies had only been on the pitch for a matter of seconds when he was sent to the byline by Anders Svensson's pass.
Beattie's header from the cross was parried by Keller but he followed up with a half-volley before going off for a well-earned early bath.
