Police in Northern Ireland have urged the public to be vigilant following the escape of a monkey from Belfast City zoo last night.
The monkey escaped from Belfast Zoo yesterday
A woman phoned the police at 10.15 pm when she spotted the spider monkey in her back garden before the animal moved on.
Staff at the zoo and the police are working together to try and recapture the monkey.
Police have warned the public not to approach the animal.
