Linda Booth will be bringing along the great and the good to give demonstrations during the autumn season of her popular Valentia Cookery school in Blackrock, Co Dublin.
That young whirlwind, Neven Maguire, of the MacNean Bistro in Blacklion, Co Cavan, will be rattling the pots and pans on Friday evening, October 16th, and the following Saturday morning.
Maguire's dessert demos are among the best - and most entertaining - I have ever seen, so those with a sweet tooth should book now to see theatrics with spun sugar.
From rather closer to Blackrock - he is in fact a neighbour of Lynda Booth - T.P. Whelehan and his son David will also present a wine tasting with an emphasis on wines for Christmas, on Friday evening, November 6th.
Otherwise, the Valentia classes continue in informal demonstration style, each Tuesday evening and Thursday morning, beginning with an Entertaining course on September 15th/17th.
