RTE sports commentator Peter Collins and show promoter Mr Kieran Cavanagh have settled a £30,000 claim against them by a dance choreographer they employed for a nationwide road show.

The claim for alleged breach of contract had been taken against Kieran Cavanagh Productions and The Peter Collins Formula 1 Road Show by Ms Siobhan Duffy, trading as New Age, Ryemont Abbey, Leixlip, Co Kildare.

The action was settled for an undisclosed sum following two hours of talks between the parties' lawyers at the Circuit Civil Court.

In public court documents Ms Duffy claimed to have been engaged by Mr Collins and Mr Cavanagh to provide a dance troupe routine to accompany Mr Collins's show on a nationwide tour.

She alleged they breached her contract within days of the show's launch. Both Mr Collins and Mr Kavanagh denied the claim. They alleged their relationship had broken down after Ms Duffy declined to put on an extra mid-day matinee show in Westport.

It was learned that both Mr Collins and Mr Kavanagh would bear an equal share of the settlement and Ms Duffy's legal costs as well as each bearing his own legal costs.
