Spurs and Blackburn agree Kelly fee

Spurs have agreed a £600,000 sterling fee with Blackburn Rovers for Republic of Ireland goalkeeper Alan Kelly.

Spurs have agreed a £600,000 sterling fee with Blackburn Rovers for Republic of Ireland goalkeeper Alan Kelly.

The deal now hinges on a meeting between Kelly and Spurs officials to discuss the player's personal terms.

Rovers chief executive John Williams said: "The fee has been negotiated and we have given Alan permission to talk to Tottenham."

Kelly, 33 next month, was signed by former Blackburn manager Brian Kidd in August 1999 on a four-year deal worth £675,000 sterling following Tim Flowers's move to Leicester.
