Moscow - Russia's counter-intelligence service yesterday revealed fresh details of an alleged spy said to be working for Britain, saying he was recruited last year by a British diplomat in Estonia.
"The inhabitant of Moscow, who in the recent past was a senior officer for the domestic special services, made several business trips to Estonia during 1999," said a statement from the Federal Security Service's public relations centre.
"During this time he was recruited by Pablo Miller, head of British intelligence in Tallinn working under the cover of first secretary of the British embassy in Estonia." The embassy in Tallinn declined to comment.
