The Scottish Rugby Union have agreed a sponsorship deal with Scotsman Publications worth a combined £750,000 to the country's three professional sides.
Newly-formed outfit The Borders will be backed by The Scotsman newspaper, with Scotland on Sunday sponsoring Glasgow Rugby while Edinburgh are to continue their association with the Evening News.
The two-year deal will represent cash input to all three clubs as well as advertising space in the three publications.
David James, sponsorship manager of the Scottish Rugby Union, welcomed the new deal which leaves the three sides in a strong position heading into the new season.
He said: "As the new season is about to begin there is a tangible air of excitement surrounding Scotland's professional rugby teams and that is enhanced by the sponsorship of Scotsman Publications."
