Dutch defender Jaap Stam wants to return to Manchester - to sign for Kevin Keegan's City.

Dutch defender Jaap Stam wants to return to Manchester - to sign for Kevin Keegan's City.

The former Manchester United defender, currently at cash-strapped Italian club Lazio, told the Sunday Mirror: "I know there is interest in me in Italy from Inter, AC Milan and Juventus.

"But the biggest interest is in England, particularly Manchester City, and that is a move that would really appeal to me."

Liverpool and Newcastle are also reportedly interested in Stam.
