Sixteen students from Belvedere College are to take part in the annual sleep-out and fast at the Bank of Ireland in College Green, Dublin, to raise funds for the Arrupe Society, the Los Angeles Society and Focus Ireland.

Past pupils of the college will take part in a similar event at the GPO in O'Connell Street. The sleep-out continues until Christmas Eve.

The Arrupe Society provides accommodation and care for about 25 young homeless people in three residential hostels. The Los Angeles Society runs three homes with 10 boys in each. Focus Ireland runs crisis and day services for homeless people.
