IT was a fairly surreal night at The Kitchen on Wednesday, what with the dance floor turned into a pool, the VIP area a casino and the six foot two Panti just one of the pouting drag queens prancing around, but then what would you expect from Enda McGrattan? The man behind Enda Storey Productions has recently staged the Radio Ireland launch and the IRMA awards and is now full to bursting with the Smirnoff fashion awards due to take place in May.

It was a night for the street fashion gurus with Makulla's fashion buyer Dara Kilkenny and RTE's 12-2-1 fashion correspondent Alanagh Gallagher mingling with Lady Henrietta Conyngham, model and daughter of Lord Henry. Mountcharles and Sarah Seigne, the new model for John Rocha. Most of the female eyes in the room were on Neill and Eamonn O'Boyle, the twin supermodels just back from Tokyo who were posing as Rene and Rick, hotel and casino managers, for the night.

Jewellery designer Padraic Sweeney, whose exhibition of lamps adorns the Odessa Restaurant, was there, as was Christopher Bonham Carter, brother of actress Helena, and Denis McNulty and Alan O'Boyle of Decal, who have just finished recording another album.
