Network computer maker Sun Microsystems has posted a large loss that was in line with its reduced forecast amid a hefty restructuring charge as revenue fell for the 12th consecutive quarter.
The California-based company said it had a net loss of $760 million (€635 million), or 23 cents a share, for its fiscal third quarter ended March 28th, compared with a year-ago profit of $4 million.
Revenue fell to $2.65 billion from $2.79 billion. Excluding charges and a gain, Sun said it had a loss of $260 million.
