Met Éireann have predicted a continuing good bank holiday, with some guaranteed sunshine tomorrow and Monday.
Temperatures will range from a low of 2 to 8 Celsius (36 to 46 Fahrenheit) to a high of 12 to 16 Celsius (54 to 61 Fahrenheit).
It will be mainly dry and bright tomorrow with sunny periods in most areas and a light to moderate Northeasterly breeze.
The forecast for those travelling out of Dublin, however, is not so bright.
Heuston station is closed until midday Monday for construction work to the railway bridge over Sarsfield Road between Heuston station and Inchicore.
The Sarsfield road, Dublin 10 will be closed from Con Colbert Road to Grattan Crescent until Monday at 12 noon.
The redevelopment work, which is being funded by the National Development Plan, will also see the number of platforms at Heuston station increase from five to ten.
Bus transfers will operate between Heuston and intermediate stations in Athy, Sallins and Newbridge, County Kildare to connect with intercity train services and Iarnrod Éireann has estimated that about 150,000 people will avail of its adjusted service over the bank holiday.
The DART service will also be affected from today to Monday because of track renewal work between Howth and Howth junction. Iarnrod Éireann will supply a limited bus transfer system and has warned customers to expect delays.
The DART and Drogheda suburban services will run to a Sunday schedule on bank holiday Monday and no other suburban services will operate that day.
Meanwhile commuters within Dublin should be aware of traffic restrictions in the Smithfield area today to accommodate the Heineken Green Energy Festival.
There is no access through Smithfield except for residential and business traffic, according to the Garda. Traffic will not be allowed access North King Street between the junctions of Church Street and Queen Street either from 5.30 p.m. this evening.
