The Supreme Court is to hear an appeal by a Co Tipperary man against a High Court order preventing him from broadcasting multi-channel programmes without a licence in the Clonmel, Thurles and Cashel areas. The Chief Justice, Mr Justice Liam Hamilton, yesterday fixed December 15th for the hearing of an appeal brought by Mr William Joseph McLoughlin, of Knockmarne, Upperchurch, Co Tipperary, and Killenaule Television Broadcasting Ltd.

Mr McLoughlin is appealing against an order of Mr Justice O'Sullivan in the High Court granting an interlocutory injunction to MMDS Television Ltd and Suir Relays. The order prohibited the company from transmitting television programmes.
