The first published architectural heritage town survey and the first interim county survey in the State were presented to Ennis Urban District Council and Clare County Council by the Minister for Arts, Heritage, Gaeltacht and the Islands, Ms de Valera, at the weekend.

Carried out under the National Inventory of Architectural Heritage of Ireland, the Minister announced that the Heritage Service was aiming to publish at least 10 further town surveys. Within the next five years interim surveys of each county would be completed.
