Army bomb disposal experts in Dublin were called in to investigate a suspect device found under a car in the capital last night.
The device was found under a car outside a private house in Raleigh Square, Crumlin at around 9.45 pm.
The army bomb disposal unit examined the object shortly after 10pm and the surrounding area was sealed off.
A controlled explosion was carried out on the device which was found to contain explosives. The all-clear was given at around 12.25am.
Elsewhere, army bomb disposal experts in Cork City were called to investigate a suspect device left under a car outside a house in the Commera estate, the Glen, last night.
The team were called out to examine the object at about 7.30 pm.
The device was declared a hoax shortly after 9.15pm.
