An Army Bomb Disposal team carried out a controlled explosion on a suspicious device in Swords this afternoon.
The team were called in by gardaí after the device was found under a car outside Swords Garda Station.
They arrived on scene at 3.30pm and carried out a controlled explosion. The device was found to have no explosive content and the incident has been classed as a false alarm.
The scene was declared safe at 5pm and the main street in the town was re-opened.
This was the third call out for Army Bomb Disposal teams in 24 hours.
