A powerful explosion killed all 21 passengers on board a bus running on liquefied gas when it collided with another bus in western Tajikistan yesterday.
The explosion happened in a rural area 30 miles south of the Central Asian state's capital of Dushanbe, police said, adding that only 15 bodies could be identified.
Blasts involving gas-powered vehicles are not uncommon in the Tajikistan where many drivers use liquefied gas instead of more expensive petrol.
Sunday's death toll was the largest one to date.
