Exploratory talks to resolve the dispute that led to the jailing of two building workers in Dublin last week began yesterday.

Representatives of the Building and Allied Trades Union will meet representatives of the Construction Industry Federation for further talks tomorrow.

Mass pickets were mounted at the two affected sites on Merrion Road and Conyngham Road, Dublin, yesterday in defiance of High Court orders.

The two workers jailed last week participated in a picket of the offices of Capel Developments and O'Connor Construction at Ballymount Road, Walkinstown, Dublin. The offices are not covered by the orders.
