Taoiseach uninjured in rush hour Dublin crash

Taoiseach Bertie Ahern was today involved in a minor road traffic accident in north Dublin today but was uninjured.

Gardai said the collision occurred on the North Circular Road between just before 6pm.

Mr Ahern was a passenger in his Mercedes S-Class state car which was being driven by his chauffeur.

No-one was injured during the accident in the heavy rush hour traffic in the capital. The Taoiseach took possession of the S350 car, which normally retails for around €123,000, in April of this year.
