Taoiseach Enda Kenny visited Union Hall in Co Cork today where an operation to find two men missing since the trawler Tit Bonhomme sank on January 15th is continuing.
Mr Kenny spoke to the families of those affected by the tragedy – in which five people died – and extended his gratitude to those who have been participating in the operation to find the two remaining crew members.
Skipper Michael Hayes, a father of five from Helvick Head in Co Waterford, and Egyptian Said Mohammed (23) have not been seen since the trawler sank near Adam's Island in Glandore Bay.
The bodies of fellow crew members, Attea Shaban (26), Kevin Kershaw (21) and Wael Mohammed (35) have been recovered.
Scores of civilian, Naval Service and Garda divers from across the country have been attempting to locate the missing men.
The search effort is expected to be wound down next week.
