A taxi driver was knifed in the hand this morning during an attempted armed robbery in Belfast.
The man was called to pick up a fare in the Faburn Park area of the city shortly before 4am where he met two men.
The PSNI said one attacker got in the front of the taxi and threatened the driver with a knife. The second, who was in the back seat, claimed to have a gun but no firearm was seen.
A PSNI spokeswoman said the driver struggled with the would-be raiders before they fled empty-handed.
