Boxing:World and European lightweight champion Katie Taylor cruised into the 60kg final of the European Union women's championships Pazardjik, Bulgaria today.
Less than 24 hours after her quarter-final win over Italy’s Cordio Giacoma, the Bray boxer stepped back into the ring and defeated France’s Cindy Orain 11-2, a repeat of last year's EU final bout that Taylor won 11-0 in Liverpool.
Taylor, the AIBA 2008 World female boxer of the year, will now meet Bulgarian Denitza Eliseevan in tomorrow’s final where she hopes to make it 35 wins in a row at all levels.
