The Dublin City Post Primary branch of the TUI last night unanimously endorsed the legal action of TUI executive members Ms Mary Friel and Mr Edward Conlon over the failure of the executive to abide by policy and put both sides of the argument on the Programme for Prosperity and Fairness to the membership.
The branch also unanimously passed a motion urging all members to reject the deal.
At a separate meeting last night, the Dublin North City branch of the INTO voted by 63 to 37 to reject the deal. INTO general secretary Senator Joe O'Toole has been one of the strongest supporters of the deal.
