The Zanussi national bridge team championship, with prizes to the value of over £2,000, will be decided on February 28th (1.30 p.m.) and March 1st in the Stand House Hotel, which is behind the main stand of the Curragh racecourse.
This three-session event is open to masters and intermediate A players. Apart from awards for the top three placings, and the best final session, prizes will be presented also to the best women's, men's, mixed, master and intermediate teams. Entries: Paul Porteous (01) 269-7275.
St Malachy's Old Boys' Association's (Belfast) open two-session pairs championships, with £1,250 in cash prizes, will be staged in the Dunadry Inn on February 22nd (1.30 p.m.).
