A TEENAGE milkman told the Central Criminal Court yesterday that he was sexually assaulted in a city centre flat by a 43 year old single Dublin man. He told the court that he met the accused man when he went to a Donnybrook pub with an elderly friend. The accused man was also acquainted with this man and joined them.
The alleged victim said that they were in the pub for several hours. He drank up to nine pints of Guinness and his head was "swimming" by the time he left.
The accused man first drove the elderly man home and was also to leave the milkman home. However, he said that he had to receive an important telephone call in his flat and drove there.
The alleged victim told Mr Joseph Mathews SC, prosecuting, that he was not feeling well because of the drink and he had accepted the accused man's invitation to lie down on a bed.
The accused man denies that he raped the teenager on March 10th, 1994.
The alleged victim said that the accused man later drove him to his home area and warned him not to say anything about what had happened.
Mr Mathews said that the teenager was "in bits" when he got home. He had been taken to his local Garda station to lodge a complaint.
The hearing continues.
