A teenager is recovering in hospital after being stabbed in the head in Belfast early today.
The 17-year-old boy was on his way home from a friend's house when he was chased down the Falls Road and attacked by four men, a spokeswoman for PSNI said.
The youth was stabbed in the head during the attack, which happened at the back of the Royal Victoria Hospital. His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
Two knives were recovered from the scene and have been sent for forensic examination.

Police have not yet established a motive for the assault and are appealing for anyone who saw the boy running down the street at about 2.45am, or who witnessed the attack, to come forward.
The victim was wearing a light coloured fleece and blue jeans.
