A Co Antrim teenager has died of meningitis. The girl is believed to have suffered from the meningococcal strain of the disease, which is contagious.
Pupils at Antrim Grammar School have been visited and sent letters by the Northern Health Board informing them of the situation.
Dr Brian Smyth of the board warned the public to be aware of the symptoms of the disease.
