Two 16-year-olds will appear before the Children's Court later this morning charged over a crash in Dublin over the weekend that killed a taxi driver.

Both are charged with stealing a car and being a passenger in a stolen car. A third occupant of the car, which collided with the taxi, remains on a life-support machine at St James's Hospital.

Robert McGowan (30) was killed on Saturday morning when his taxi was hit by a stolen car at 4 a.m. at the junction of Summerhill and Portland Road in Dublin's north inner city.
