League of Ireland - Bohemians 0 Shamrock Rovers 0:Bohemians and Shamrock Rovers played out a scoreless draw at Dalymount Park in the day's opening game of a busy domestic fixture list. There was also some afters between the two sides after the final whistle warm down.
Both sides struggled to make any impact in the early stages with both goalkeepers having little to do. The best chance of the opening half came for Bohs but Mark Quigley's strike was well saved by Alan Mannus.
Killian Brennan had a couple of chances in the second period but Mannus was up to the task.
Dessie Baker came off the bench for Rovers and had an effort deflected onto the bar. Barry Murphy was also tested in the Bohemians goal as he tipped over Chris Turner's volley.
There was some afters at the final whistle when tempers boiled over and some of the players clashed in this hotly contested Dublin derby.
Sporting Fingal were 2-0 winners over Galway United courtesy of second half goals from Ronan Finn and Eamon Zayed at Morton Stadium.
Finn’s opener came when Lorcan Fitzgerald broke from the back after 53 minutes before laying the ball off to for Finn to fire home from long range.
United goalkeeper Daire Geraghty was beaten again 14 minutes from time when Zayed found the top corner from inside the 18 yard box.
