Ten non-nationals were arrested today in Dublin into connection with a fraud investigation into counterfeit ATM and credit cards.
Two people were arrested this morning following a search of house in Dublin 8 area as part of an investigation into counterfeit ATM cards, a Garda spokesman said.
Further inquiries led to the arrests of eight other people - five men and three women - this afternoon. They are being held at Store Street Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
"All those arrested today are non-nationals", the spokesman said.
Computer equipment, cloning equipment and counterfeit credit cards and ATM cards were also seized during today’s searches.
The searches were carried out by gardaí from Store Street station in conjunction with members of the Garda Bureau of Fraud Investigation and Garda National Emigration Bureau.
