Terenure College leaped-frogged over UCD, Garryowen and Clontarf and into third place in Division One with a four-point win over Lansdowne at Lakelands.
Garryowen and UCD lost their crunch matches against Shannon and Blackrock respectively. Shannon remain in the top spot, two points ahead of Cork Constitution who beat Carlow away in Oak Park.
Blackrock’s win over UCD means that they now have a play-off place firmly in their sights with just two matches left in the round-robin stage.
Defeat for bottom of the table Young Munster means that the Limerick outfit are now definitely relegated.
