Postmortems carried out yesterday on the bodies of twin brothers found dead in an apartment in Limerick earlier this week have proved inconclusive.

Gardaí say they will have to await the results of toxicology tests on 29-year-old twins, Peter and Kevin Moran before they can confirm the cause of their deaths.“The results are inconclusive pending the results of toxicology tests. Those results could take up to a month,” said Det Insp Tom O’Connor of the city’s Henry Street gardaí.

Gardaí believe the deaths are drug-related but said they could not officially confirm this. The twins’ remains were discovered by their mother after she asked the landlord to open the apartment in which they were staying at Steamboat Quay, Limerick, on Wednesday.
