Well, I don't know. No sooner are the bookshelves cleared of my tome Golfers Guide To World History than Mr Gilleece comes out with a Golfers Guide to Ire- land . . . plagiarism or what? (Or what, I think, might be the answer to that?) But whereas my book was as much practical value as a ladies' locker room in Portmarnock G.C., Dermot's is brimming with valuable, useful information which will be welcomed by all golfers who occasionally put their clubs in the back of the car and venture outside their own bailiwick. For not only do we get details of where the courses are, how much they cost to play, what they are like and so on but also suggestions on where to stay, where to eat and what else there is to see in the area. It's a great idea, well produced (lots of colour photos), thoroughly researched and well written. He'll sell thousands of copies, the swine.
