Three people have been arrested in connection with the death of a man in his twenties in Tallaght last night.

Three people have been arrested in connection with the death of a man in his twenties in Tallaght last night.

Two men, aged 18 and 19, and a woman (21) were arrested this afternoon and are being held in Tallaght Garda station.

The man who died was named by a Garda spokeswoman as Mr Peter Bissett, (23) from Cushlawn Park in Tallaght.

According to gardaí, he was stabbed in the chest during a row involving a large number of people in the Donaghmore Estate shortly after midnight.

The alarm was raised, two ambulances sent to the area and two men were brought to hospital, where Mr Bisset was pronounced dead. The second man, the victim's 18-year-old friend, was released from hospital overnight.

A murder inquiry was launched this morning.

The death is the second violent death in Dublin in two days - another man was beaten to death on St Stephens Green.
