Two men are being questioned by gardaí in north Dublin following the seizure of drugs with an estimated street value of €250,000 this morning.

The men, who are in their mid 20s, were arrested following the discovery of what gardaí believe to be a quantity of heroin.

The seizure was made at St Margaret's near Finglas at about 1.20am.

The men are being held at Finglas Garda station under section 2 of the Drug Trafficking Act.

Meanwhile, a man is being detained in Coolock Garda station following a separate drug seizure in Dublin last night.

The man, who is in his late 20s, was arrested at Edenmore Park in Raheny following the discovery of €25,000 worth of heroin at about 11.30pm.

He was arrested under section 2 of the Drug Trafficking Act.

A Garda spokesman said the seizures were not related.
